Manchester United are mulling over a summer move for free agent Fernando Llorente, according to Sky Sport Italia, as quoted by Metro.
The Red Devils are considering a surprise move to bring the 34-year-old Spaniard to Old Trafford as manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to add more firepower to his squad.
Since Llorente is a free agent, it means that his signature can be availed at any point during the season, including outside of the ongoing transfer window.
With that said, the Premier League giants could move to bring in the former Tottenham man after the summer transfer deadline if they deem themselves to be short on forwards.
Llorente has scored 13 times in 66 appearances for Spurs but he was released earlier this summer.
United will kick off their Premier League opener at home against Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.
