Manchester City eye Thiago Alcantara swoop
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has reportedly identified Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara as a potential signing in this summer’s transfer window.
The Spain international joined the Bavarians in 2013 and has since gone on to make 181 appearances for the Bundesliga giants in all competitions, scoring 28 goals in the process.
The 27-year-old midfielder’s contract at the Allianz Arena gets expire in just over two years, though, and according to The Mirror, the Premier League champions are considering a swoop for the Spaniard at the end of the season.
The report adds that the Citizens would have to spend more than £60million to secure Alcantara’s signature, however, due to his importance to the German club.
Thiago has made over 100 appearances for Barcelona before arriving in Munich.
