Liverpool join Manchester United for Bruno Fernandes?

Liverpool have joined Manchester United in the race to sign Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon in the summer transfer window.

The Portugal international, who is believed to have an £86m release clause – has been strongly linked with a move to the Red Devils this summer.

However, according to Record, Liverpool have reportedly taken the lead in the race to sign the 24-year-old, whose agent Miguel Pinho will fly to London very soon for talks with a number of clubs.

The versatile attacker has scored 32 goals and provided 18 assists in 53 appearances for the Green and Whites during the 2018-19 campaign.

Fernandes’s contract at the Estadio Jose Alvalade is valid until 2022, however, which puts his club in a strong position when it comes to negotiation.
