Report – Chelsea eye January move for Nabil Fekir
Lyon forward Nabil Fekir has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Chelsea, according to The Daily Mail.
The Blues are keen on a deal to sign the Frenchman to Stamford Bridge during the mid-season transfer window in order to bolster Maurizio Sarri’s attacking options for the second half of the season.
The report adds that Liverpool agreed a £52million deal to sign Fekir last summer but a move did not materialise.
It is now being suggested that Chelsea could look to complete a deal to bring the 25-year-old forward to Stamford Bridge for a “lesser” price.
Fekir, whose current contract expires in 2020 – has scored four times and provided two assists in 12 Ligue 1 games so far this season.
The west Londoners are currently fourth in the Premier League table and 11 points adrift of the leaders Liverpool.
