Man City ponder January move for Pelayo Morilla
The Premier League champions Manchester City have reportedly outlined their intentions to move for Sporting Gijon youngster Pelayo Morilla, according to The Mirror.
The 17-year-old has broken into the Gijon first team this term, making four substitute appearances and scoring his first senior goal in the Copa del Rey in September.
The Spain Under-19 international is understood to be highly rated in Spain’s Segunda División, and reports claim that City head-coach Pep Guardiola is keen to keep a close eye on his development.
The Citizens have sent scouts to monitor the striker’s progress and could look to test Gijon’s resolve with a January bid.
Pelayo still has 18 months left on his contract with Gijon.
