Fulham have reportedly “explored” the possibility of signing Lyon forward Maxwel Cornet, according to The Sun.
The 21-year-old attacker played an integral part in his side’s Champions League win against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, scoring the opening goal as the French club secured a 2-1 victory.
The report adds that the Cottagers are preparing a bid for the Ivorian and are willing to pay £18million to land him next summer.
The report goes on to claim that the Lilywhites wanted the youngster previously, but were put off by the expensive price tag at the time.
Cornet has scored 18 times in 97 appearances for Lyon.
