Real Madrid have allegedly earmarked Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard as their top January transfer targets, according to Spanish media outlet Don Balon, as cited by The Daily Star.
It’s reported, Los Blancos will test the Blues’ resolve in the New Year.
However, the Premier League giants are keen to keep hold of the Belgium international, who has begun both of the Premier League games this season on the bench.
The 27-year-old winger has just under two years left on his current contract but speculations on his future has reportedly forced Chelsea’s hand.
Hazard is understood to be keen on a move to one of Spain’s elite clubs, but the London outfit have made clear their intention to keep the Belgian, despite the uncertainty over his future at the Stamford Bridge.
