Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney will reportedly mulling over a return to his former club Everton this summer.
The 31-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford this campaign under Jose Mourinho, starting just eight league games in all and strongly linked with a move away.
His 13-year association with United looked likely to be coming to an end back in January this year when the Far East club have shown interest in the England international, but later he released a statement confirmed that he intends to remain at the club for rest of the campaign.
A return to former club Everton may still be on the cards following the Blues manager Ronald Koeman’s interest when he admitting that he would be open to signing the Red Devils forward, and Sky Sports News suggest that Rooney might consider any bids towards him.
It is claimed that the Toffees made an enquiry to the Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho last month over the availability of the player, but the offer approach was quickly knocked back by United.
Rooney is currently under contract until the summer of 2018.
