Twitter reacts to Jesse Lingard’s new Man United contract
Manchester United playmaker Jesse Lingard has signed a new four-year contract until 2021.
The 24-year-old developed through the Red Devils academy as a youngster and has established himself as an pivotal first teamer. He has scored five goals and provided three assists in 29 appearances this season across all competitions.

The England international has enjoyed his game time, despite tough competition for regular places tough in Jose Mourinho’s first team.
The midfielder has now racked up 70 appearances for United and his new long term deal depicts he is seen as an crucial figure going forward.
However, Lingard’s new deal, worth a reported £100,000-a-week, has sparked a strong reaction on micro-blogging site Twitter. Not everyone on social media seemed happy with it..
