Manchester United are ready to pounce for the Italy international by making a £31m bid this January, according to The Sun.
The Red Devils have reportedly targeted Atalanta BC midfielder Bryan Cristante as a replacement for Marouane Fellaini, who is expected to leave the Old Trafford after he turned down the offer of fresh terms.
Cristante is said to have caught the attention of United manager Jose Mourinho, having impressed in his Serie A appearances this term and also scored three times against Everton in the Europa League.
The 22-year-old midfielder, who joined the Serie A outfit on loan from Benfica earlier this year, and it has been claimed that the Italian club have the option to buy him permanently and immediately cash in if Manchester giants make a formal approach in the new year.
United are also believed to have shown an interest in Tottenham Hotspur’s Dele Alli, who is supposedly valued at £100m.
