Liverpool close to signing Thomas Lemar?
Liverpool have reportedly launched an enormous bid to try and sign AS Monaco midfielder Thomas Lemar before summer transfer deadline day on Thursday.
The Reds have made an official bid of £66.6m along with £7.4m in potential add-ons to lure the Frenchman to Anfield, according to the French newspaper L’Equipe.
The Merseyside giants have stepped up their attempts to sign the 21-year-old playmaker before the summer transfer window shuts down.
It remains to be seen whether Jurgen Klopp’s side will conclude any more signings before the window drops on Thursday evening as the Premier League club have signed three players so far this summer, Mohamed Salah, Dominic Solanke and Andy Robertson.
Lemar, who has been a long-standing target for Arsenal this summer, but Gunners boss Arsene Wenger dropped their interest in the player after the Ligue 1 champions had closed the door on further sales.
