Everton boss Ronald Koeman is set to reignite a move for Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud as he seeks attacking reinforcements, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Toffees will reportedly make another attempt to sign the France international to Goodison Park when the transfer window reopens in January.
The Merseyside outfit were linked with a move for the 30-year-old attacker during the summer as they were seeking to replace the 24-year-old Belgian Romelu Lukaku following his big-money move to Manchester United.
Giroud was said to be keen on a move to Merseyside as his future seemed in doubt at the Emirates. However, the striker opted to stay in north London and fight for the regular place and that’s given Everton renewed hope of securing his signature.
Koeman’s struggle to replace Lukaku has haunted him so far this season as the Merseyside outfit has scored just four goals in six league games.
