Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne is close to signing a new contract extension at the Etihad Stadium, according to BBC Sport.
The Belgium international has been one of the key players during City’s record-breaking start to the Premier League season, scoring six times and providing eight assists.
De Bruyne, 26, still has three-and-a-half years left on his current contract, but the Premier League leaders are keen to tie him down beyond 2021 following rumoured interest from other clubs.
The report suggests that an announcement is close to being made, with the attacking midfielder is likely to be rewarded with a lucrative package.
The report adds that the Citizens are also hopeful of reaching an agreement with Fernandinho, who is free to talk to other clubs from January over a free summer transfer.
