The Spanish champions Barcelona have announced that Luis Suarez has agreed a new five-year contract that will keep him at the Nou Camp until the summer of 2021.

The29-year-old Uruguayan has been massively impressive since joining the Catalans from Liverpool in 2014 and has won La Liga twice and the Champions League and and will hope to win further trophies this campaign.
Suarez has scored 13 goals in 20 appearances across all competitions this season. He has created 18 chances in La Liga this season, but, despite his impressive stats, the Spanish champions are currently six points adrift of league leaders Real Madrid.
