Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed why he didn’t sign Manchester United’s new teenage sensation Anthony Martial because he felt the Gunners were well covered in his position.
The 19-year-old forward, who has been likened to legendary Thierry Henry, has scored three premier league goals in his first two appearances for the Red Devils.

Wenger says he was aware of the French striker when he was coming through at Lyon.
“We have known him since he was a kid. But he’s more of a winger-type,” he said.
“He’s an exceptional talent I agree with you but I believe that he plays in positions where we have players like Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Alexis Sanchez and Joel Campbell who can play in the position.”
Martial is becoming a fan favourite in the red half of Old Trafford and has grabbed a brace since his superb performance against Southampton.
