Chelsea keen on Barcelona starlet Pedro?
Chelsea are reportedly planning a summer move for Barcelona forward Pedro, with the West London club are keen to strengthen their frontline after missing out on Turkish playmaker Arda Turan, according to the Daily Star.
The Blues were believed to be interested on the former Atletico Madrid star, but the English giants lost out earlier this week as the midfielder moved to the La Liga champions.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has now turned his attentions to Pedro, whose future looks uncertain despite signing a new contract with the Spanish club last month.
The Spaniard has been strongly linked with a move away from the Nou Camp this summer, after falling down the pecking order at the Blaugrana.
Pedro, 27, spent most of his previous season on the bench, as manager Luis Enrique continued to stick with Barca trio – Messi, Suarez and Neymar as his attack force.
The report claims that the Premier League champions are preparing a significant bid to bring the midfielder to Stamford Bridge this summer, as they look to retain their title.
Chelsea may face stiff competition for Pedro’s signature from their close rivals, with Manchester United and Liverpool are keeping tabs on the forward.
