Premier League side Crystal Palace are closing in on a deal for Patrice Evra from Juventus, according to Sky Sports.
It is understood, plenty of clubs have been interested in signing the French defender, but Palace are among favourites for his signature.
The report have suggested that contact between both parties has been materialised and the former Manchester United left-back has also approved a switch to Selhurst Park.
It would see the 35-year-old return to the Premier League after two-and-a-half years since he moved from Old Trafford to Juventus for £5.5m.
Palace manager Sam Allardyce has already insisted that his prime concern in the January window is to strengthen his defensive squad, and Evra could proved to be an ideal option.
