The English County side Essex have announced the signing of South Africa all-rounder Simon Harmer on a Kolpak deal.
The 27-year-old will be available as a non-overseas signing in all forms of cricket for the newly-promoted Essex for the 2017 season.
Pretoria-born Harmer, who made five Test appearances for his nation, has claimed 290 first-class career wickets at an average of 32.57.
